Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail…

Happiness Is A Journey ~by Father Alfred D’Souza

Happiness is a journey, not a destination~

For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin- real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time to be saved, a debt to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.

So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth.

THE MOTIONS by Matthew West

The Motions by Matthew West is currently my favorite song. It speaks to the very core of my soul.  It tells me to stop allowing life to just pass me by and to stop letting my trials get the best of me. It opens my eyes to the fact that somewhere along the line I have given up on myself and have chosen to give into the motions of life. When I listen to this song it awakens a part of me that has been a sleep for too long. It inspires me to change, to get up and to do something better for myself; no matter how hard that may seem at the moment or how long it may take me to accomplish. As I listen and sing along with the music I can feel God’s energy rush through me to the point that I can’t help but cry, cry tears of happiness, tears of hope. Thank you God and thank you Matthew~

The Buried Treasure by Sari Solden

Millions of people have this neurobiological condition (ADD/ADHD). When undiagnosed it can be devastating and debilitating, silently robbing the individual of their dreams, their hopes, their self-esteem. These people spend their lives trying to solve a riddle- the mystery of their lives must lay somewhere out there, just around the next turn in the road. They remember that they have glimpsed it, that special something once felt or envisioned, before things got so overwhelming and they became trapped and lost- wandering aimlessly in a forest looking for clues as if from an old treasure map. They know the treasure is there somewhere, but perhaps deeply buries or locked behind a fortress. They have incredible perseverance and determination to keep going, often pulling an enormous weight. The remembrance of that special feeling, the knowledge, deep inside, that they have something important of value to do, to create, to contribute, keeps them searching. They continue on, though the memory, that belief, grows more faint each year as despair begins to replace hope. Hope that they will ever find the treasure, that they will even find their way out of the forest and back to the road.

Still, they trudge on, clutching that old, crumpled, faded map, holding on to the hope that they will find that buried treasure chest and reclaim their abandoned hopes and lost dreams.

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, speak through me,

so all lost souls can plainly see,

not my will, but God’s I seek.

Your words are strong,

where mine are weak.

Holy Spirit, teach me love,

so those that hate can climb above.

I know that love, it is the key,

so this I pray, show love through me.

Holy Spirit, help me give,

so those without, through You may live.

To give to those who are in need,

to share my goods, but not in greed.

Holy Spirit, make me wise,

feed me knowledge, my heart it cries.

To understand what I don’t know,

please make me wise, so I may grow.

Holy Spirit, help me trust,

to lean on You, in times I must.

My faith will grow each time I do.

Please build my trust, my trust in you.

Holy Spirit, take my pride,

humble me and be my guide.

First comes pride, and then the fall.

Let me pride in You, or none at all.

Holy Spirit, make me bold,

to spread the news, the scriptures hold.

To speak out loud, to those that hear,

our God is love, they must not fear.

Holy Spirit, this I pray,

fill me up this very day.

To have the power, with You be strong,

to make things right, where they are wrong.

Holy Spirit, let me shine,

with Jesus Christ, in this life of mine,

help our souls to soon find out,

what serving God is all about.

Something to think about:

A few years ago a friend of mine told me this cute story about a donkey which I will never forget. I hope you like it as much as I do…

One day, a farmer’s donkey fell into a well. The poor animal cried for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do about it. Finally the farmer decided that the animal was too old to justify the efforts it would take to get him out of the well. So he asked his neighbors to help him shovel dirt into the well and end the donkey’s life. As the dirt began falling on the donkey’s back, he realized what was happening and cried horribly. And then, to everyone’s surprise, the donkey quieted down. After shoveling in a little more dirt, the farmer looked down into the well and was shocked at what he saw. With every shovelful of dirt that hit the donkey’s back, the donkey was doing something amazing, he was shaking it off and then stomping on top of it. As the farmer and his neighbors continued to shovel dirt into the well, the donkey just kept shaking it off and stepping up! Eventually everyone stood back in amazement as the donkey stepped over the edge of the well and trotted off.

Who ever believes in him shall have eternal life~

Sunday

Sunday in quiet time, bless this little life of mine.

In the wonder of each day,

let me live a holy way.
